Nikhil Dutta is a Canadian cricket player. He is a right-arm off-break bowler and can score a few crucial runs down the order as well. His parents are originally from Kolkata, India, and they moved to Canada in 1999. His father, Mihir Dutta, co-founded the Mississauga-based Ontario Cricket Academy in 2002 along with Derek Perera. In 2011, at the tender age of 16, he was named in Canada's squad for the 2011 ICC Americas Under-19 Championship in Fort Lauderdale.

Dutta made his ODI debut in 2013 against Kenya. He was then selected for the 2015 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier but chose to play in the Caribbean T20 League. In the 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Two, he was the leading wicket-taker for Canada with 11 scalps. He made his T20I debut in 2019. Since then, he has been on and around the national side. However, after his ODI debut, he couldn't really get into the team and had to wait almost a decade to play his second ODI, which is a unique record of longest gap between two matches. He has also played for a few franchises around the world, like St. Kitts and Nevis, Barisal, and Toronto. With the 2024 T20 World Cup coming up, he will look to make an impact and help Canada perform well in the tournament.
