Shaik Rasheed is a young rising right-handed batter, born on September 24, 2004 hailing from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. In the early stages of Rasheed's life, it wasn't all smooth sailing. His father faced job loss twice while supporting Rasheed's pursuit of cricket. Frequently, the father-son pair would journey 40 kilometers from their home only so that Rasheed would get quality coaching for cricket. The dedication and hard work paid off when Rasheed was selected for the state age-group teams, and he quickly began scoring runs for Andhra Pradesh. Rasheed gained recognition after being appointed vice-captain of the India Under-19 side for the 2022 ICC Under-19 World Cup. His remarkable performance in the semi-final against Australia, where he scored 94 runs, highlighted his talent. Additionally, Rasheed emerged as the top run-scorer for Maharashtra during the 2018-19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy league stage. All his hard work was fruited when recently in the auction of the Indian Premier League, the Chennai team showed trust in this young lad and bought him at the base price of INR 20 lacs. Under the esteemed guidance of MS Dhoni and a coach like Stephen Fleming, he will surely get a wonderful grooming for his future endeavors.
