Reckons that as a batter, it is important that you play your natural game and find the way that works for you in ODI cricket. England, meanwhile, brought in four debutants for the first ODI, and their lack of experience showed as they struggled to adapt in a heavy defeat. Their batting unit faltered, managing only 209 runs after being inserted into bat. To keep the series alive, Liam Livingstone and Co. will need a much-improved showing, not only in their batting but across all departments, with a focus on executing well as a cohesive unit.

The hosts were flawless in the series opener, securing a well-deserved lead. A commanding bowling performance set up their victory, and Evin Lewis's entertaining knock took them comfortably over the line.
