Right then! All the teams have lost a game now. Rajasthan keep the pole position despite losing the game while Gujarat earn two crucial points. That is it from this game. It is time for Mumbai to take on Bengaluru on the 11th of this month. That should be the game you wouldn't want to miss. Join us at 7.30 pm IST (2 pm GMT) and earlier for the build-up. Cheers!

The captain of Gujarat, Shubman Gill is in for a chat. He says that he believed even after he got out. Mentions that they were targetting 45 runs in 3 overs and felt that it was very much possible. Feels that an Impact Player in the form of a batter has resulted in a shift in the mindset. States that he would have loved to finish the game but he is happy with the way Rashid Khan and Rahul Tewatia finished the game. Reckons that they were not too far behind in the game and winning a game on the last ball is a great feeling. Says that Rashid Khan is a fantastic player and he is someone you always want in your team.

Rashid Khan wins the Player of the Match award for his all-round performance. He says it was pleasing to help the team win the game as compared to his bowling effort. Tells he hasn't bowled much in the last 3-4 months due to injury but his fingers needs time to grip the ball and today's game helped him. Mentions it is a matter of hitting a couple of 3-4 sixes and the chase comes down under control.

...Presentation time...

Sai Sudharsan is in for a chat. Says that they gave away a few runs extra in the first innings. States that the plan was to get in a good Powerplay. Feels that they had an average first six overs and then lost a few quick wickets. Adds that they had the belief and he is happy to have won the game. Shares that the wicket was not easy to bat but feels that it got better in the second innings. Mentions that this was a much-needed win and it will give them the momentum.

The captain of Rajasthan, Sanju Samson says that it is hard to speak at the moment and jokingly says that it is one of the hardest jobs for a captain to speak after a loss. Credits Gujarat for the way they fought till the last ball. Mentions that they will learn from what they did not do right and move on. States that when he was batting, he thought that 180 would have been a fighting score. Opines that they had posted a winning score, especially considering that there was no dew and they should have bowled better. Ends by saying that 197 at Jaipur with no dew, they will take it any day.

Earlier in the day, Shubman Gill opted to bowl first and the bowlers started the proceedings well. They took two wickets inside six overs. However, their fielding department was below-par as Riyan Parag survived twice and he went on to notch another half-century. Samson played a magnificent innings as well but eventually, they fell short. It was Gujarat who held the nerves in the end as their batters chased down the humongous score successfully.

Sanju Samson had the option to go with the experienced Trent Boult but he went with Kuldeep Sen who was playing his first game of the season. Fairly, Sen was having a good game but to give the younger such a crucial over in such a crunch situation backfired. Still, 15 needed in the last over, Rajasthan and Avesh Khan failed to defend the total. Tough, tough call from Sanju Samson but he would have expected his bowlers to do the job.

It will take a lot of time for Rajasthan to digest this game. They had in control for a long time. Their bowlers kept on taking wickets regularly. They weren't worried of Gill holding the innings from one end with wickets crumbling on the other side, they were cruising through with ease. However, what kept Gujarat in the game was the cameos from the likes of Shankar and Khan. They played a quick innings of 16 and 14 respectively. Shubman Gill was hopeless with wickets falling over but he played a magnificent innings of 72 runs before departing. It though came down to the last two overs needing 35 runs. With Rahul and Rashid on strike, Rajasthan still had the upper hand but what a turnaround it was from the duo.

The fortress has been breached. Rajasthan lose from a certain winning position. What a game. Rashid Khan is the hero but not to forget the contribution from Rahul Tewatia too. Shubman Gill is all pumped up as he runs to the ground.

FOUR! Rashid Khan has done it for Gujarat! He sees his side home on the last ball! The fortress has been breached and Rashid has his arms aloft in celebration. Coming to the ball, not the best of deliveries from Avesh Khan as this is short and wide on off, Rashid Khan gets his front leg out of the way and frees his arms to slap it up and over point for a boundary to take Gujarat over the line. Joy on the faces of the players of Gujarat as they come charging onto the park to greet the man of the moment, Rashid Khan. Gujarat win by 3 wickets!

19.52W

OUT! RUN OUT! More drama! They had to go for the third run and Rahul Tewatia has sacrificed his wicket for the team here. Gujarat get 2 off the penultimate ball though which leaves them needing 2 off the last ball. Avesh Khan goes into the wicket and it is off-pace as well, around off, Rahul Tewatia waits on it and slaps it over mid off. He does not get enough bat on it to find the fence. Jos Buttler gives it a good chase and pulls it back. He is quick to release the throw at the bowling end and Avesh does the rest to catch Tewatia well short of his crease. The third umpire wants to check for a short run at the bowling end but Tewatia is fine on that count.

Rahul Tewatia is clearly run out as the batters look for three. However, more importantly, the third umpire is checking for a short run at the bowler's end, which is he second run but Rahul Tewatia had his bat grounded three too. So, 2 runs and a wicket of the delivery. That means Gujarat need 2 runs off 1 delivery.

19.41

A few inches to the left or right and it would have been a boundary for Gujarat. Avesh sees the batter make room and follows him with a fullish delivery, Rashid Khan drills it straight into the hands of extra cover and he feels that he missed out there. 4 needed off 2 now.

19.34

FOUR! Not where he intended but it does not matter one bit. Gujarat will take it any which way they come. The balance of power firmly in Gujarat's favour now, needing 5 runs off three balls. On a fullish length, outside off, Rashid Khan tries to squeeze it out on the off side. Gets it off the toe-end of the bat and it goes past the right glove of the diving Sanju Samson for a boundary.

19.22

They come back for the second and the equation is now 9 off 4. Full and straight, angling in, on middle and leg, Rashid Khan slogs it off the inner half of the bat wide of deep mid-wicket for a couple of runs.

Now, Avesh Khan, Sanju Samson and Jos Buttler having a quick conversation.  The fielders are running all over the ground. Pressure on Rajasthan here.

19.14

FOUR! A boundary off the first ball and Rajasthan are under the pump now. Avesh Khan almost nails the yorker. It comes out as a low-full toss, on off and middle, Rashid Khan stays low to make the connection and heaves it to the left of square leg and picks up a boundary. 11 neeed off 5 now for Gujarat..

Slow over-rate! A fielding penalty on Rajasthan as they have not completed the quota within the given time. Only four fielders outside the circle.

FOUR! Tewatia clears the in-field and he gets the reward. It almost went the distance for a maximum there and that leaves Gujarat needing 15 runs off the last over. Slower and on a back of a length, around off, Rahul Tewatia picks the change of pace and lofts it up and over mid off for a boundary.

18.51lb

Leg bye! Well bowled! Sees the batter make room and follows him, Rashid Khan moves to the leg side and has a swipe across the line. It comes off the thigh pad and they cross as the ball rolls on the leg side. Big delivery coming up. Gujarat need to find the fence and get the runs needed under 15.

18.51wd

WIDE! Sen gets it wrong again as slips in a slower delivery, short in length, down in leg, Rashid Khan misses out on the connection. Wide called.

18.42

Taken at deep square leg but it will not count as it was a Free Hit. Kuldeep bangs it on a shortish length, over off and middle, Rashid Khan tries to take on the short ball but gets a top edge that is taken by Shubham Dubey running in from deep square leg. The batters cross for a couple of runs.

18.45nb

FOUR! Would you believe it? Kuldeep Sen has overstepped and the siren goes off for a NO BALL. Kuldeep goes searching for the yorker but ends up dishing a low full toss, outside off, Rashid Khan clears his front leg and carves it over extra cover. Free Hit to follow now. Can Rashid make the most of it?

Riyan Parag, Jos Buttler and Kuldeep Sen having a chat. Crucial three balls from Sen coming up...

18.31

Kuldeep rolls his fingers over the ball and bowls it on a good length, outside off, Rahul Tewatia mistimes his pull to deep mid-wicket and will have to be content with just a single. Gujarat need to find the fence at least twice in this over, if not on all three balls.

18.24

FOUR! Rahul Tewatia finds the fence. A valiant effort though by Jos Buttler. Kuldeep misses his mark and serves a wide low full toss, outside off, Rahul Tewatia moves to the off side and lofts it extra cover. Buttler at mid off, gives it a chase and puts in the dive but fails to prevent the boundary.

18.21wd

WIDE! Goes beyond the wide guideline on off, on a fuller in length, Rahul Tewatia lets it go for a wide.

18.11

A direct hit and it would have been curtains for Rahul Tewatia. Kuldeep Sen goes full and straight, at the stumps, Rashid Khan clears his front leg to hoist it across the line. Gets an inside edge that goes through his legs and it goes straight to short fine leg. Tewatia had given up but Avesh failed to hit the stumps at the batting end. A single taken.

Kuldeep Sen to bowl the penultimate over. 35 runs needed in 12 balls.

Commentary

We are back for the second essay. Rajasthan players disperse from the huddle and take their places on the field. Rajasthan bring in the Proteas left-arm spinner, Keshav Maharaj, as the Impact Player, replacing Yashasvi Jaiswal. Gujarat also opt to use their Impact Sub, and it will be Shahrukh Khan who comes in for Mohit Sharma. Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan will open the innings for Gujarat. Trent Boult will kickstart proceedings with the new ball for Rajasthan. Here we go...

... THE RUN CHASE ...

Right then, Rajasthan will feel that they have their noses in front at the halfway mark. Although they are without the services of Nandre Burger and batting seems to have gotten easier, they will be confident enough to defend the total. As for Gujarat, they have a mountain to climb but a good Powerplay will put them in good stead for the rest of the chase. They have bolstered their batting with the inclusion of Matthew Wade and if he gets going, no total is insurmountable. Join us back in a bit for what should be an interesting chase.

Rashid Khan is in for a chat. He says that he was struggling in the first two games but he hit the right areas in this game. Tells there was no satisfaction despite bowling well in patches in the previous games. Reckons it is a good wicket to bat, tells they have to play positive cricket and admits this kind of score can be chased down on this ground

Gujarat will be disappointed with where they are at the halfway mark, especially considering their promising start. Umesh Yadav helped them draw the first blood before Rashid Khan got into the act in his first over. Despite displaying excellent control, Rashid Khan and his Afghan compatriot, Noor Ahmad, were unable to find much luck. Gujarat's woes were compounded by missed opportunities, particularly Matthew Wade's drops of Riyan Parag, once when he was on 0 and again when he was on 6. These missed chances proved costly for Gujarat as Parag went on to play a significant innings for Rajasthan. It was one of those frustrating nights on the field for Gujarat where luck simply didn't seem to be on their side. Moreover, they could not finish well with the ball, conceding 57 runs off the last four overs. Although Rashid Khan had only one wicket to show for his efforts, he seemed to have found his rhythm, finishing with figures of 1 for 18 from his four overs.

19 runs off the last over and Rajasthan get the finishing kick they were after! They end up with 196 on the board, the highest total at this venue this season so far. After being put into bat, the hosts faced the daunting challenge of negotiating the first six overs, compounded by the moisture from pre-game rain. Yashasvi Jaiswal managed to find the boundary a few times, albeit briefly, before departing. The centurion of the previous match, Jos Buttler, failed to make a significant impact and soon joined his opening partner back in the hut. The middle phase was dominated by the 130-run stand between Riyan Parag and Sanju Samson, who balanced caution with aggression to stabilize the innings. Despite initially struggling against the Afghan spin duo and being dropped twice, Parag eventually seized the initiative to inject momentum into Rajasthan's innings. Parag notched up his third fifty of the season, as did Samson. Parag departed in the penultimate over after which Shimron Hetmyer and Sanju Samson took the mantle of delivering their side a strong finish.

Well bowled! Just one! Too full and on off, Hetmyer toe ends his drive to covers for a single. Rajasthan finish with 196 on the board.

19.51

Short in length and around off. Samson pulls it to deep mid-wicket for a single. One hit away for 200. Can Hetmyer do it?

19.51wd

Wide! That is almost out of the pitch. Well outside off, it is a clear wide.

19.51wd

Wide! Shubman Gill looks under the pump. Takes the review for the wide but it was too short from Yadav and outside off. Sanju on his toes fails to hit it away. Wide stays.

19.42

Short of a length and well wide of off. Sanju Samson tries to play the upper-cut but mistimes and it lobs over backward point for a couple of runs.

19.36

SIX! THAT IS HUGE! 190 up! Too full and on middle, Sanju Samson hangs on the back foot and smashes it high over long on for a biggie. Skipper giving a grand finish here.

19.21

Short of a length and outside off, on the slower side and Hetmyer hits it through point for a single.

19.16

SIX! How close can Rajasthan get to 200? This is full and angled outside off. Hetmyer gets low and tonks it over extra-cover for a maximum. Not an easy shot but Hetmyer plays it just on his second ball.

Who will bowl the final over? It will be Umesh Yadav. He has gone for 28 runs in his three overs. Can he keep Rajasthan under 190?

Hetmyer keeps the strike for the final over. On a length and on off, Hetmyer tucks it to square leg for a single. Mohit Sharma gives away 50 runs in his spell.

18.54

FOUR! Off the mark in style. Excellent shot. A bit too straight from Mohit Sharma, this is on middle. Hetmyer holds his position and thumps it down the ground for a boundary.

Shimron Hetmyer makes his way out to the centre.

18.4W

OUT! Catch taken with a bit of drama! On a length and outside off. Parag hits it hard but flat towards long off. Shankar walks back and takes. His momentum was taking him back so Shankar tosses the ball up, comes back inside the play and takes it. Good presence of mind. A good inning comes to an end though.

18.32

This is very full and outside off, Riyan Parag crunches it through point for a couple of runs.

18.26

SIX! Rajasthan need a strong finish! Parag plays it well here. Anticipates a slower one and stands back, this is short and around off. Parag waits and pulls it over mid-wicket for a biggie.

18.21wd

Wide! Mohit Sharma bangs it short but on the slower side, it rolls over the tramline for a wide.

JUST SHORT! Too full and angled across the right-hander. Sanju Samson tries to paddle it over short third man this time but it was too full. He hits it just over the keeper who runs backward and just in front of short third man who dives forward. Luck is against Gujarat you feel.

17.44

FOUR! Beautiful! All class from Sanju Samson! Very full and outside off, Sanju Samson anticipates the line and steps across, paddles it over short fine leg for a boundary. Finally he nails this shot.

17.31

Mistimes that one! Short of a length and outside off, Parag pulls it to long on for a single.

17.21

Very full and well wide of off. Sanju Samson works it on the off side to covers for one.

17.11

This is full and around off. Parag steps across to scoop it but miscues and it rolls to short fine leg for a single.

FOUR! What has happened there? Rahul Tewatia has completely lost the flight of the ball. Four! A full toss on middle and it is lofted down to long on. Anyday that would have been taken but Rahul Tewatia actually tripped there while running to his left. It rolls past him for four and that brings up the fifty for the skipper. Third fifty of the season.

Top stuff! Brilliant effort at the long on fence by Jos Buttler, saving three runs for his side. Avesh takes pace and goes into the wicket, around off, Rashid Khan hangs back and flat bats it down towards long on. It goes flat towards Jos Buttler who reacts quickly and dives to his left. The ball comes as a half-volley to him but Buttler does exceptionally well to keep it down to just a single.

17.61wd

WIDE! At pace this time and Avesh tries to make the batter fetch it but it goes away from the wide guideline. Wide called by the umpire.

17.61wd

WIDE! Rolls his fingers over the ball but slips it beyond the tramline on off, Rashid Khan goes for the cut but misses and the umpire signals a wide.

17.51

Bends his back and bangs it into the deck, over middle, Rahul Tewatia fetches the pull from over his head and hits it to deep mid-wicket for one. This is turning out to be an excellent over from Avesh, just the 4 runs off it.

17.41

Bowls it on a back of a length, outside off, there to be cut away, Rashid Khan chops it down to deep point and gets off the mark with a single.

17.3W

OUT! Given LBW! A huge shout and up goes the finger! It looks dead straight but Shahrukh Khan has decided to send it upstairs. It looks more in hope than anything else. A low full-toss by Avesh, honing in at the stumps, Shahrukh Khan shuffles across a bit and goes for a heave across the line. He fails to get any bat on it and the ball pings him low on the front pad. There is nothing on UltraEdge. It is three reds on Ball Tracking and Shahrukh will have to make the long walk back. Avesh has started the over well, a wicket and just the 2 runs off it, but can he close out the over well?

17.21

Bowls it at 125.4 kph, on a hard length, around off, Rahul Tewatia hangs back and dabs it wide of point for a run.

Steams in from over the wicket and serves it on a length, near the tramline on off, Shahrukh Khan reaches out and knocks it to deep cover for a single.

FOUR! Excellent use of the feet. 17 runs off the over, just the over Gujarat were after. Ashwin switches to around the wicket and lands it full, outside off, Rahul Tewatia shimmies down the track and goes inside out. Hits it well over extra cover for four more runs. We are in for an exciting end to this game with Gujarat needing 42 runs from 18 balls.

16.51

Pushes it through, short and on off and middle, Shahrukh Khan loses his shape as he goes for a swipe across the line. Gets it off the inner half of the bat to deep mid-wicket for a single.

16.44

FOUR! Ashwin errs in line and these are easy pickings for Shahrukh Khan! Strays on the pads, full in length, Shahrukh Khan helps the ball away to the left of short fine leg for a boundary. The 150 comes up for Gujarat and the pressure is now on Ashwin to finish the over well.

SIX! BANG! Shahrukh Khan goes big and Gujarat need more of these! Ashwin delivers it full and at the stumps, it is right in the hitting arc for the batter. Shahrukh Khan gets down and nails the slog sweep to clear the deep mid-wicket fence with ease for a maximum.

A loud shout for LBW but this looks to be going down leg. Sanju Samson walks up to Chahal and takes the review with a couple of seconds left on the timer. This was pushed through by Chahal, on a nagging length, on middle and leg, Shahrukh Khan was unsure whether to play it off the back foot or the front foot. The ball skids through to go past the inside edge and pings Shahrukh on the flap of the back pad. The ball rolls off the pads to short fine leg and they cross. There is nothing on UltraEdge but the impact is umpire's call and the ball was going down leg on Ball Tracking. Rajasthan have now lost both their reviews.

Rajasthan review an LBW appeal. UltraEdge shows no bat. Ball Tracking shows wickets are missing. Not out it is.

15.51

This is flat and short, on off, Rahul Tewatia drops it in the vacant mid-wicket region and takes the single. Tewatia seems to be happy to see off Chahal without taking any risks against him.

15.42

Keeps it full and around middle and leg, Rahul Tewatia places it in front of deep mid-wicket and comes charging back for the second run.

15.31

Floats it up nicely, full and around off, Shahrukh Khan presses forward and knocks it to the left of the bowler. Chahal dives all over it and lets the ball go under his hands, allowing Khan to open his account.

Strategic Break! Rajasthan are right on top with Gill's wicket. Gujarat still have a couple of batters who could do the job but it looks a big task against the experienced Rajasthan side. They need 64 runs in 28 balls. Can Rahul Tewatia or Shahrukh Khan become the hero or Rajasthan will cruise through?

15.31W+wd

OUT! STUMPED! Yuzvendra Chahal fights back in grand style! Outfoxes the Gujarat skipper and this is a big blow to Gujarat. Chahal stays over the wicket and offers flight, on a fuller length but keeps it away from the batter. Bowls it near the tramline on off. Gill premeditates and advances down the track. He gets beaten in the flight and fails to get to the pitch of the ball. He reaches out to put bat to ball but it spins away to go past the bat and Sanju Samson does the rest. It is called a wide but it will not matter much to Rajasthan as they get the prized scalp of Gill. The Gujarat skipper is distraught as he trudges off.

15.24

FOUR! Two in two for Shubman Gill! Chahal drops it short and outside off, Shubman Gill anticipates the bowler to drag his length and waits in the crease. Slaps it wide of point and beats the man in the deep to his left for four more runs. Just the start to the over Gujarat needed, can they make it a big one?

15.14

OUT! LBW! A big, big shout for LBW but the finger stays down! If there is no bat involved, Sai Sudharsan is a goner here. Looking at the replays, he has started to walk off and it seems that he knows that he has not gotten an inside edge. And yes, the UltraEdge confirms that there is no bat involved. Over to Ball Tracking now, it is three reds. Coming to the ball, it is pitched up, on off and middle, Sai Sudharsan walks across to the off side and exposes all his stumps, trying to scoop it over short fine leg. He fails to make any contact as the ball sneaks past the inside edge and traps him right in front of the stumps. Kuldeep Sen with an instant impact as he strikes in his first over.

16.61wd

Pace-off this time, Mohit Sharma mixing his pace but this one is well over the tramline. Wided. Shubman Gill takes the review for a wide and gets the decision in his favour as Sanju Samson did shuffled across a bit. Okay, the third umpire again wants to check it, this time he says the on-field decision stays. Shubman Gill is clearly livid as the third umpire changed his mind there. He has a chat with the on-field umpire and is furious with the decision.

Better from Mohit! This one is at 132 clicks, very full and wide of off. Sanju Samson fails to dig it out.

The key for them in this middle phase is to not allow a partnership to build and keep chipping away at the wickets, given that the ball has been staying low for the spinners and it will not be easy to chase on this wicket. As for Rajasthan, they have two of their leading run-getters out in the middle and the onus will be on them to navigate through the middle phase. We are all set. The players are out in the middle. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler to open for Rajasthan. Jaiswal to face Umesh Yadav up first. Watch out for some swing. A slip in place. Let's go...

Jos Buttler is up for a quick chat. He says the feeling is great in the group. A lot of individuals standing up and a lot of players have been together for many years which helps a lot as well. Tells it is more mentally when you underperform sometimes but he tries to cut the noise out. Shares Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal have been brilliant in the middle phase and Trent Boult with the new ball. Reckons he has a good relationship with Samson and says he tries to help out whenever he can.

The skipper of Rajasthan, Sanju Samson says that they would have bowled first as well. On this being his 50th game as a captain in the Indian T20 League, he replies that it has been a special journey and it would not have been possible without the support of the team. States that despite winning all four games, there have been challenges off the field in terms of fitness and form. Mentions that their focus has been on taking care of the process and want to continue doing the same.

The captain of Gujarat, Shubman Gill says they will bowl first as they want to chase with the conditions around. Tells it is not easy to set up the playing XI with a lot of injuries around. Informs about the two changes with Matthew Wade coming in for Kane Williamson and Abhinav Manohar replaces BR Sharath. Reckons they were in a good position in the last two games but it is just about finishing in crunch situations and hopes to do it this time around. Mentions he doesn't think of captaincy much while batting.

Impact players nominated by Gujarat - BR Sharath, Shahrukh Khan, Darshan Nalkande, Sai Kishore and Manav Suthar.

Gujarat (Playing XI) - Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill (C), Vijay Shankar, Abhinav Manohar (In for BR Sharath), Matthew Wade (WK) (In for Kane Williamson), Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Mohit Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Noor Ahmad, Spencer Johnson.

TOSS - The flip of the coin lands in the favour of Gujarat and they have elected to BOWL first.

UPDATE - We have official confirmation. The toss will take place at 7.25 pm IST (1.55 pm GMT), with the first ball set to be bowled at 7.40 pm IST (2.10 pm GMT). Just a small delay before we get going.

UPDATE - 7 pm IST (1.30 pm GMT) - The toss has been officially delayed due to RAIN. The good news is the ground staff have removed one of the covers and even the rain has completely stopped. The players are out to do their drills as well. Let's hope for more good news.

UPDATE - 6.44 pm IST (1.14 pm GMT) - Not what you expect in April but it is raining currently and the covers are put on. It's windy and we expect it to be a passing shower. Let's hope so. Stay tuned for other updates.

PITCH REPORT - Mpumelelo Mbangwa is near the deck. He starts by informing that it is a windy evening and that the wind will be a factor that the players will have to take into account. States that 70 metres and 62 metres are the dimensions of the square boundaries, while the straight boundary is 79 metres. Aaron Finch joins him and says that there is a hint of grass, but it looks like a really good wicket. Hopes that the grass will result in more pace as compared to the games played earlier at this venue. Opines that there will be movement with the new ball, and therefore, the opening batters should look to play straight. Expects the pitch to get slower as the game progresses. Feels that there will not be much dew, given the overcast conditions. Mbangwa says that there might be rain later on and reckons that it might influence the decision at the toss. Ends by saying that the team batting first will have to get close to 185 to feel comfortable.

The previous season's runners-up, Gujarat, have blown hot and cold and are striving to get their campaign on track. The Shubman Gill-led unit is coming off a two-game losing streak and will be desperate to return to winning ways. Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill have shouldered the scoring responsibilities admirably, but the contributions from Kane Williamson and Vijay Shankar have fallen short of expectations. With the anticipation of David Miller's return after missing a couple of games, Gujarat hopes to bolster their batting prowess. Rashid Khan's impact has been subdued compared to his usual standards, placing added responsibility on the shoulders of Mohit Sharma, Umesh Yadav, and Spencer Johson to rise to the occasion against Rajasthan's formidable batting unit. Will Gujarat halt the juggernaut of high-flying Rajasthan? We shall find out. Toss and team news coming up in a bit.

After 23 games in the 17th edition of the Indian T20 League, Rajasthan stand tall as the sole unbeaten team, displaying flawless performances thus far. Following a playoff miss last year, Sanju Samson and his team seem determined to make amends, embodying a squad with a clear mission. The Sawai Mansingh Stadium has transformed into an impregnable fortress for the men in pink, securing victories in all three matches played here so far. While Yashasvi Jaiswal is yet to find his rhythm, Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag have compensated admirably, with Jos Buttler's stellar century in the last encounter against Bengaluru adding to their firepower. Yuzvendra Chahal has shone brightly in the spin department, while the left-arm seam duo of Trent Boult and Nandre Burger has provided exemplary performances in the pace department.

Hello and a warm welcome, folks, to our coverage of match number 24 of the 2024 Indian T20 League, where Rajasthan take on Gujarat at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. 'Pink City' is set for a showdown between two teams with divergent forms. If the previous matches at this venue in the season are any indication, brace yourselves for another high-scoring encounter.

... MATCH DAY ...

Get ready for an intriguing showdown as the Rajasthan face off against the Gujarat at the iconic Sawai Mansingh Stadium. Rajasthan has been the team to beat, winning all four of their matches this season. Jos Buttler's sensational century in the last game against Bangalore showcased the sheer dominance of the Rajasthan batting lineup. With Sanju Samson's solid contributions and Riyan Parag's explosive form, their batting unit looks formidable and the only thing missing is a Yashasvi Jaiswal playing to his full potentia. Trent Boult and Nandre Burger have been relentless with the new ball, while Avesh Khan has stepped up in the absence of Sandeep Sharma as a decent death bowler. The duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal adds depth and potency to their spin department, making Rajasthan a force to be reckoned with. They'll be aiming to maintain their unbeaten streak and continue their march towards the top of the table. Meanwhile, Gujarat finds themselves in a spot of bother after a string of inconsistent performances. Captain Shubman Gill's leadership has been commendable, but he'll need more support from the batting lineup, especially with Wriddhiman Saha nursing an injury. Sai Sudharsan has been a standout performer, but the likes of Vijay Shankar and Rahul Tewatia need to step up to the plate. The absence of David Miller further compounds their woes, putting more pressure on the middle order but the inclusion of Kane Williamson adds more balance. On the bowling front, Umesh Yadav's resurgence and Mohit Sharma's stunning displays have been positives, but they'll need to contain the rampant Rajasthan batters. Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad provide a formidable spin duo, while the inclusion of Azmatullah Omarzai adds an extra dimension to their pace attack if needed. With both teams boasting a wealth of talent and firepower, expect a high-octane clash filled with twists and turns. Gujarat will be eager to become the first team to halt Rajasthan's winning streak and inject new life into their campaign. On the other hand, Rajasthan will be determined to maintain their unbeaten record and assert their dominance in the tournament. It's a battle of nerves and skill, and only time will tell which team emerges victorious in this epic encounter.
